2019 July - Peter & Tracey A - Christmas in July and AGM.

HAPPY NEW YEAR :D

Those with businesses will all too well understand what I mean ;)
Lets see if this months ramblings resemble last months ramblings.

Lets get the general house keeping out of the way first.

Today was the Annual General Meeting where all the Committee positions were open for renewal.
We must be doing something right as the current members were re-elected unopposed.
Club Secretary remains Andrew H.
Club Treasurer remains Alan E.
Club Web Mistress remains Nigel S. (Yours truly ;) )

As an addition to the AGM I asked if anyone had any comments, suggestions, or criticisms (constructive or otherwise) regarding this web site and its contents.
Nothing was said, so overall it's back to business as usual.

And onto the details of todays GTG :)

Hmm. Need to string together some words. Thinking. Yes that's burning brain oil smoke you can see on the horizon.
Lets try this. . . . . . .

We arrived to our Hosts home to be greeted by several tables set up inside to keep us all dry due to the forecast rain.
Said rain was rather a fizzer. The day turned out to be overcast with maybe two super light misting if that.
Not too hot, not too cold, It was Juuuuust right :p
For me anyway. One had to get a jumper from their car.

Once again Peter and Tracey were the consummate Hosts catering for the ~30 members that managed to attend.

I will try to list some of the yummy foods that I remember.
Cheese and crackers, Ham and salad wraps, A bean and something salad, Potato bake, A not vegan Veggie lasagne because it had chicken in it, Roast pumpkin / potato / carrot, Beef in gravy, mustard.

And the deserts, oh my, something for everyone.
Several cheese cakes, chocolate cakes, sponge cake, fruit salad.
There was even a pavlova that was good enough to temp our resident cheese cake aficionado to turn to the egg white side.

All could be washed down with wines of various colours, tea, coffee, softdrink, etc and so on.

Times like these make me wish I was young and could eat like a horse again.
Ahhh those days are long gone for me now......... *Thinly veiled - I'm old feel sorry for me comment* :D
As today was more about family and friendship, I have not included many photos of the hosts Hi-Fi.
If it matters too you, you can find those shown in a previous meeting. 2017

Although some did go and have a listen to the Hosts Hi-Fi, I think the majority of us were happy to mingle, eat, drink, and chat about life.
Due to our Hosts amazing hospitality and efforts everyone had a fabulous time.
To Peter and Tracey.
Here's a massive Thank You for all the hard work you've put in to make this meeting the roaring success it was.
Nigel. (Web Mistress)
