Tools for Loan.
The Queensland Audio Club has a few Audio Tools that can be borrowed by it's subscribed members.
Some of these tools have a Loan Fee that goes toward the upkeep of the club’s audio tools.
It also assists the club with future purchases of more audio tools.
Some tools also have a Fee for related consumables.
If you see a tool you would like to borrow, Simply Email the Club Secretary with your request.
If you have a suggestion for a tool you'd like to see in our repertoire, Again Simply Email the Club Secretary.
Don't forget to include links and other pertinent information about the tool in your email.
QAC will Not accept any responsibility if for some unknown reason you let the magic smoke out !
It is entirely the users responsibility to ascertain the suitability and any potential risks involved with any of the tools.
Please remember the golden rule of borrowing anything.
If you break it, You fix it / Get it fixed / Replace it :)

The calculation of parameters are carefully carried out according Lofgren, Baerwald and Stevenson equations aiming at reduction of the overall RMS distortion level caused by deviations from the perfect linear tracking position of your cartridge.
The general geometrical correlation of a tracking device based on a fixed pivot point are well known since the fundamental publications of Baerwald and Lofgren back in the first half of the 20th century.
The conclusion of both papers was that such a tracking device must have an angular offset with a defined overhang.
The offset and the overhang vary with the effective length of the tonearm itself.
While tracking the record the stylus matches tangential position in the groove at two points the inner and outer Null points (linear tracking position)."
