2018 July - Peter & Tracey A - Christmas in July and AGM.

Hello again everyone :)

What can I say about todays GTG except Superb beyond belief.

But lets get the general house keeping out of the way first.

Today was the Annual General Meeting where all the Committee positions were open for renewal.

We must be doing something right as the current members were re-elected unopposed.

Club Secretary remains Andrew H.

Club Treasurer remains Alan E.

Club Web Mistress remains Nigel S. (Yours truly ;) )

Mention was made about the previous lack of people RSVP'ing to meetings and the adverse affect it has on the hosts being able to properly cater for their meeting.

People must being paying attention as the number of people at todays meet was very close to the number of RSVP's.

This enabled Peter and Tracey to provide enough food for all in attendance without anyone going hungry or worse still an oversupply of food that would be wasted.

I say Well done everyone.

We also honoured the memory of Phil Greenwood.

Not only was he a long term club Secretary, he was also instrumental in the creation of the Christmas in July event.

Not to mention helping QAC grow into the family friendly club it has become.

Cheers Mate.

And onto the details of todays GTG :)

Superb, fantastic, eminently enjoyable, sublime, etc on so on.

Middle of winter and a forecast of  7-20 degrees with light breezes.

The sky was clear, the breeze was put on hold, and it didn't start to feel cool until the sun made its way below the horizon.

Ever the impeccable hosts, Peter and Tracey managed to feed the army of around 45+ with an amazing array of foods.

I will try to list just some of what I remember.

Pulled pork, beef in gravy, cauliflower cheese, roast pumpkin / potato / carrot, / sweet potato, potato and bacon salad, rice salad, Greek salad ?, apple sauce, mustards, chips, dips, nuts.

Several members also brought along various wines, cakes, lollies, and marshmallows.

One guy even went to the effort of bringing along a suburb exotic cheese cake.............. :D

If the photos don't make your mouth water, please, check your pulse.

As today was more about family and friendship, I have not included any photos of the hosts Hi-Fi.

Plus I got too carried away with everything else going on to remember Hi-Fi photos :)

If it matters, you can find those shown in a previous meeting.  2017

I'm pretty sure everyone had a fabulous time.

As a small token of the clubs appreciation, we presented Tracey with an arrangement of Wild flowers.

To Peter and Tracey.

Here's a massive Thank You for all the hard work you've put in to make this meeting the roaring success it was.

Nigel. (Web Mistress)

P.S. Last image is a wide panorama that is very badly stitched together from 3 separate pictures.
