Yes Folks that's right.  Today Andrew our Club Secretary clicked over the big Six Zero.

Happy Birthday Mate. I hope you had an awesome day with many more to come.

Hip Hip HOORAY !

Despite the weather forecast for possible rain it was sunny.

Which meant humidity. I don't like humidity.

So many audio systems.

Seriously I've seen shops with less gear.

I honestly have no idea just how he manages to cram them all into his house.

I suspect his house may be a Type 42 Tardis. :)

**Only us true nerds will get the TWO Sci-Fi references there :D **

As we arrived we were served a multitude of nibbles before listening to his main system.

Due to space restrictions, while some listened, others sat outside chatting away happily in the shade of his carport and marquee.

After everyone had cycled through and sampled the music (and air conditioning :D ) the bbq lunch was ready.

Bread rolls, burger patties, chicken skewers, fried onion, snags, potato salad, pasta salad, tomato, pineapple, beetroot.

All being washed down with various wines, soft drinks, water, etc etc...

Later in the afternoon as we settled in to his cool lounge room for some more tunes, they served a variety of cakes.

Many different cheese cakes, some with passion fruit, sponge cake, lamingtons, biscuits, and more.

Kylins cheese cake seemed to evaporate rapidly.

Thank you Kylin :)

Eventually we managed to get Andrew to sit still long enough to hand him some cheese cake with a few candles.

After a chorus of Happy Birthday, He seemed to be having trouble blowing out the candles.

No sooner had he blown them out, somehow they relit as if by some sort of magic........

Ain't I stinker :D

Andrew has promised revenge on me.

Love ya Andrew ;)

As always I would like to give a great big Thank You to this months host who is also our current Club Secretary.

A big Thank You and much Respect also has to go to Blake (Andrews son).

From well before we got there, to long after the last person left, he was either in the kitchen prepping the various foods, or moving furniture to make it more comfortable for us all.

I didn't see him stop or rest the entire time I was there.

I try not to single out people but I have to express my personal thanks to everyone.

Those that come along and make these get togethers the fun day out that they are.

Those that help the hosts set-up and pack up afterwards.

Those that help with cooking and cleaning.

Remember.

In some way we ALL contribute, support, and benefit from Our QAC Social Club.

Well done to everyone.

Sorry but I failed miserably on the photographic front today.

My mind was many kilometres away which meant I forgot my camera and had to borrow one.

Nig.
