After running into some health issues in June, forcing a cancellation of the meeting, host Wayne Carroll was back again to hold the final club event for the year. Good company and a wonderful host.


Lunch was constructed from some early Christmas cheer and couple of curries provided by Wayne. The usual BYO niceties were welcomed.

The Equipment

Equipment varied from old to modern.

Power Amplifier:  Yamaha M50.

Pre-Amplifier and DAC:  SMSL DO100 Pro

CD Player:  Marantz CD6000 OSE KI Signature

Blu-ray player:  JVC cheapie

Speakers:  Zeus ZLB by Simon Ljubic and subwoofer by Stones Sound Studio. Speakers mounted on Mordaunt Short carbon fibre stands.

PC: Intel i5, Windows 11 running Twonky and Asset servers into WiiM mini via wifi.

 

Digital and HDMI switches provide input allocation.

240v supply via DIY EMI/RFI filters.

Chromecast and streaming services also available as is television. All integrated to work seamlessly and hopefully sound great as well.
